TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

By la reina

Hello people😊!   Thanks for stopping by. Well today's a new topic and not the previous one as promised due to school program changes. Hope you all will bare with me. Here's something you probably wanna check out.

          TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS.

Are you seeing someone or you the type that prefers staying single for various reasons if its not a choice?

Toxic relationships do not only occur among married couples but anyone in an intimate relationship with another. Well then, if a relationship stops bringing joy and instead consistently makes you feel sad, angry, anxious or resigned like you've sold out it may be a toxic relationship.

We've had and heard different cases about such relationships either by witnessing or gotten from various sources, mostly media platforms ;can be the net, on radios or Television stations. People involved in such kind of relationships are people we know, people we come across in our lives and people around us, can be neighbors or a friend to a friend.

Toxic relationships can come in form of abuse either verbal, physical or even sexual violence. I've always asked people who feel uncomfortable in their relationships because of it being unhealthy and does not favor them,  why they still hold on to something that changed and they are not getting anything valuable out of it.

You know how the onset of relationships are, all lovey lovey, pampering, soft romantic words, hugs and kisses, frequent texts and calls, I mean, who'd thought it would ever come to an end!

Then just suddenly, everything dims out💔. You start crossing each other, anger is involved, hatred, bitterness and then the abuse follows all this because the two people involved have different personalities and diverse background which makes a relationship complex. Courtesy of Google images

College students experience an extremely high level of abuse among intimate partners leading to suicidal and murder cases. If you asked, reason might be one of them cheated and was caught, so he was murdered or committed suicide because of an unbearable pain.

How do you lose yourself over someone? Someone you don't know, someone you have no clue about where they from, their background and who they really are.

So how can we get rid of such happenings?  Talk to a friend, find someone who appreciates you and is worth having you, get yourself involved in a healthy relationship, one where there is commitment, respect, care, equity, communication, effort and no abuse is involved. Don't let peer pressure influence your thoughts, we all know what we want. Be optimistic and opt for better solutions if involved in such situations. Avoid one sided relationships, its a two way traffic.

Having talked about toxic and unhealthy relationships, what are you really afraid of when you are involved with someone? Have you ever experienced such type of a relationship?

Please share and comment on what you think and who you would recommend this to😍.

  1. I think one who feels is in a bad relationship should just talk to the partner and solve it out or rather back off if the partner is unwilling to mend his or her ways...share us more blogs reina babyy

  3. You’re in a relationship to be happy, to smile, to laugh, and to make good memories. Not to be constantly upset, to feel hurt, and to cry.I mean just because someone desires you, does not mean that they value you.

  5. Personally I think the best and the most convenient to do when you see your relationship is becoming toxic like abuse is to just walk out of it. Don't even try to reason with the person. Make your own peace and stay alive and safe.

  9. Some people can't leave such relationships because of gains and others because they believe or think that their partners fulfill them ...which is mostly false thus the many suicide and murder cases when it all becomes unbearable.

    1. The notion that you can leave someone who's toxic to you because 'they somehow complete you or fulfill you as you say' is something we have to drop. Doesn't make any sense at all

  13. No woman should have to go through abuse. If a man hits you once, he will probably do it again and again.Sometimes we may not say anything about it because of the love and giving them another chance, but nobody deserves to be treated that way.nobody
